To kick off this blog series on fun activations set up with Yodabooth software, we chose the activation our colleagues at sharingbox set up with the NY Rangers during the 2017 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs.
The activation is still in full swing as the Rangers are in the midst of their second round matchup versus the Ottawa Senators. The series was tied 2-2 at the moment of writing with the Rangers re-gaining the momentum heading into Game 5.
The goal of the activation was to offer NY Rangers fans the opportunity to show their love and support for the team. Fans were able to easily create their personal fan card with their photo and the year they became a fan of the team. The image was both printed directly on-site as well as sent via email.
Here's what the final result looked like:
The venue and setup
One sharingbox mini running Yodabooth software was set up in the RangersTown Square fan zone next to Madison Square Garden in the heart of Manhattan. Two more sharingboxes running the same configuration were set up inside the famous stadium.
Did you know? The sharingbox mini set up at this event inspired the design of the Yodabooth Y40.
